Role Overview
The Performance Insights Analyst plays a critical role on Delta’s Marketing Insights & Analytics team by transforming raw data into clear, contextualized insights that guide marketing and commercial decision-making. This role combines hands-on data pulling, industry-aware interpretation, and cross-channel performance analysis. A strong candidate pairs technical rigor with an ability to translate numbers into crisp, executive-ready narratives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pulling & Performance Analysis
- Pull, compile, and analyze performance data across channels, campaigns, audiences, and business units to identify trends, drivers, and optimization opportunities.
- Conduct ad-hoc data pulls, exploratory analyses, and hypothesis testing with speed and accuracy.
- Integrate signals from multiple sources (media, CRM, brand health, customer data, survey inputs, product performance).
KPI Tracking & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs, revenue contribution, engagement, and cross-channel effectiveness.
- Support KPI development and measurement frameworks for brand, performance, and enterprise marketing initiatives.
- Maintain reporting governance, templates, and documentation for consistency across teams.
Contextual Insights & Situational Understanding
- Apply industry knowledge (media, brand, airline, loyalty, and competitive trends) to provide context behind performance drivers—not just what happened, but why and what it means.
- Partner with Insights Leads to integrate brand health, survey results, and third-party metrics into holistic business narratives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand, Media, Consumer Insights, Data Science, Measurement Strategy, and Data Solutions to ensure data accuracy and alignment in reporting.
- Support campaign and creative testing, including KPI definition, results tracking, and next-step recommendations.
Storytelling & Executive Communication (Bonus / Highly Preferred)
- Translate complex quantitative findings into simplified, strategic storylines for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Support visualization and narrative development for exec-level presentations, quarterly business reviews, and strategic decks.
- Build insight summaries that synthesize data into sharp takeaways and business actions.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, performance insights, brand measurement, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in data pulling, manipulation, and cross-channel performance analysis.
- Understanding of paid media metrics, CRM/email KPIs, brand health metrics, and marketing measurement ecosystems.
- Experience with MMM, MTA, Alembic, GenAI measurement tools, or similar methodologies preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to distill data into concise insights and translate analysis into business-oriented recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, especially with cross-functional partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
