NOW BOARDING: COMMUNITY COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR  

At Delta, we’re committed to giving back to the communities where we live, work and serve. To help tell our global impact story, we need a Community Engagement Coordinator to support external communication plans and activations. From executing communications strategies for community volunteer activations to being the boots on the ground bringing those activations to life, you’ll be responsible for helping connect our community efforts to the external audience that it’ll resonate the most with. In this role, you won’t just be doing good, you’ll be shaping the future of the brand – showing the world how we show up.  

How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (Key Responsibilities) 

• Build the Delta brand through compelling external communications that promote Community Engagement announcements, events and activations 

• Support Community Engagement communications needs for leaders  

• Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to bring strategic, audience-first comm approaches and best practices to projects  

• Work with community partners to get coverage of Delta events 

• Support the larger Community Engagement team with partner and enterprise requests, reporting, and administrative tasks 

• Surface real-time opportunities on social for Delta to make an impact in key communities • Maintain partner database repositories with up-to-date talking points and event photography  

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS) 

• You have 2-3 years of experience working in communications, public relations or marketing and/or strategy focused role – could be for a Fortune 100 brand or a scrappy start-up 

• You care about people and have a deep belief that travel can open up your world and companies can help lift diverse communities 

• Your writing is 10/10. You can string a sentence together that sounds like you’d say it to a friend, and you’ve got a strong track record on doing that for a company. You also love a deadline, so coming up with copy is as easy as having a conversation 

• You’ve got a pulse on who’s giving back on social media, because you’re in those communities and are up on the latest do-gooder making the rounds 

• You’re organized and can turn good process into great process  

• You’re in the details and know where to put your time, so managing multiple project is • You’re curious. You ask questions. You nerd out on numbers. But mostly, you just want to find the why behind trends and community behaviors
