The Sr. Strategist of Physical Products will lead the strategic marketing roadmap for our physical product experiences, including Cabin Experiences, Fleet, Delta Sky Club, Delta One Lounge, and Food & Beverage. In this key leadership role, you will craft compelling product narratives, drive cross-channel marketing strategies and inspire a team to elevate Delta’s premium and core experiences.
As part of the Global Product Marketing team, this role would steer a team and work closely with the Onboard Experience/Service, Fleet and Delta Sky Club/Delta One Lounge teams outside of the Marketing Department, focused on creating a world class premium experience and will support Delta’s mission to increase product awareness, trial and engagement through innovative tactics, plans and technologies, all centered on the customer.
Key Projects:
- Product Narrative Implementation – Ensure consistent application of product visual identity and narrative throughout all marketing assets. Educate teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Premium for One, Premium for All – lead strategy, development, execution and reporting for two integrated marketing initiatives.
- Includes grand opening celebration of Delta One Lounge and Delta Sky Club in Seattle during 2H.
- Evergreen Physical Product Marketing – lead team to execute calendar of ‘always-on’ marketing calendar for evergreen physical product promotion.
- 2026 Strategic Planning – Support General Manager with forward-looking planning for 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Define and implement marketing initiatives and related projects that position Delta as an industry leader, drive product awareness and engage customers.
- Lead Product Positioning: Create messaging and visual narratives aligned with Delta’s Travel Narrative and global brand identity.
- Manage and Inspire a Team: Help oversee a team of 3 specialists, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with CXD, Digital, Marketing, Global Comms and Sales to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Innovate Product Launches & Sustainment: Test new, engaging approaches to storytelling and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure Consistent Messaging: Align product promotion and paid media efforts across all Delta channels.
- Communicate Progress: Manage internal updates, stakeholder check-ins, and project milestones.
- Oversee Creative Development: Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to create impactful messaging and assets.
- Deliver Insights and Best Practices: Present strategies, results, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Preferred experience managing a team, with strong leadership capabilities.
- Marketing Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing communications with a background in content strategy and campaign management.
- Creative Skills: Strong copywriting ability, capable of crafting simple, engaging messages for complex experiences.
- Project Management: Experience managing multi-team projects, including photoshoots, video shoots, and activations.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- Presentation Skills: Strong communication and executive presence with experience presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Photo and video shoot experience preferred: Experience with briefing and guiding productions related to product marketing campaigns.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
- B2C marketing experience for major consumer or travel brands preferred.
