Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior PR, Earned Media, and Media Relations Strategist with over 10 years of experience to join our executive team. This is a leadership role requiring a strategic thinker capable of elevating our existing efforts through insights, strategy formulation, and optimization. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of expertise in traditional and digital media landscapes, particularly within the CPG food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Strategic Formulation:
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of forward-thinking PR strategies that align with client business goals and market trends.
  • Optimization Insights:
  • Analyze current PR campaigns to identify opportunities for optimization and improved ROI.
  • Thought Leadership:
  • Act as an internal thought leader, bringing industry insights and proven strategies into agency discussions and planning sessions.

Media Relations:

  • High-Level Media Outreach:
  • Leverage senior-level relationships within media to secure high-impact placements and partnerships.
  • Crisis Strategy:
  • Develop and implement crisis management strategies, acting as the senior point of contact for critical issues.

Earned Media:

  • Strategic Positioning:
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for earned media to align with overarching PR strategies and business objectives.
  • Content Strategy:
  • Oversee the strategic direction of content to ensure it meets both client goals and media outlet criteria for maximum reach and impact.

Team Management & Client Relations:

  • Executive Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide the media relations team, ensuring alignment with the agency's strategic direction.
  • Client Advisory:
  • Act as a senior advisor to high-profile clients, offering strategic counsel and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Performance Reporting:
  • Synthesize campaign metrics into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for both internal teams and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a strategic public relations role, with a focus on the CPG food and beverage industry.
  • Extensive experience in both traditional and digital media strategy.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading successful, high-impact PR campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
