Exploring Freelance PR Support for Health Tech Founder Visibility & Launch-Stage Media

Overview:

We’re exploring freelance PR partnerships to support the upcoming public launch of Airotone, a science-backed respiratory wellness brand focused on asthma and COPD.

We’re seeking a part-time, freelance PR professional to begin working with us in June 2025, with a focus on founder visibility and media outreach leading into and through our public launch. This is an exploratory posting as we assess experienced partners with a background in health tech, wellness, and founder storytelling. Relationships with key publications are key.

About the Brand:

Airotone was founded by Greg O’Keeffe, who created the product to support his father, who lives with COPD. The brand’s mission is to bring real-world, science-backed innovation to respiratory health—empowering people with asthma and COPD to breathe easier through intelligent, practical tools.

Ideal Partner Will Have:

• A proven track record of securing earned media (features, interviews, podcast bookings) in health, wellness, or tech sectors
• Experience positioning founders (especially over 40) as thought leaders
• Familiarity with awards and recognition programs (e.g., Fast Company, HealthTech 50, Inc. Founders Over 40, etc.)
• A collaborative working style that fits into a small, nimble team

Engagement Scope (Starting June 2025):

• Develop and execute a PR strategy for founder visibility and launch-stage brand coverage
• Secure 3–5 earned media placements (print, digital, or podcast)
• Support award/list submissions where relevant
• Advise on aligning Greg’s LinkedIn profile and brand positioning for external visibility

Engagement Details:

• Freelance and part-time
• Begins June 2025, with open-ended duration based on fit and performance

Structure: Project-based or short-term retainer
