Freelance Tech PR Consultant (Media Relations + Content)

Role description

We are looking for a freelance Tech PR Consultant who can help us tell our story in a compelling way and secure impactful media placements. The ideal candidate combines a passion for technology with strong media relations skills and the ability to turn complex engineering topics into engaging narratives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and place stories in business, trade, and technology media (print, online, broadcast).
• Actively pitch to journalists and editors; existing media network in Tech/Industry/B2B is a strong plus.
• Create and adapt content: press releases, thought leadership pieces, blog posts, op-eds, LinkedIn articles.
• Support investor storytelling and contribute to our strategic PR campaigns.
• Balance classical PR (press, trade media) with digital channels (online portals, blogs, LinkedIn).

Requirements

• Proven experience in Tech PR / B2B / Industrial communications.
• Demonstrated success in media relations (placements, journalist contacts).
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills in English (German a plus).
• Familiarity with both traditional PR and digital content marketing.
• Comfortable using AI tools to work more effectively.

Engagement details

• Duration: ~8 months
• Workload: ~2 days per week (remote-first, DACH market focus)
