Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Client management and strategic consulting
● Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies
● Oversee junior team members and manage workflow
● Draft/edit press materials including press releases, boilerplates, pitch letters, etc. ● Write/edit marketing copy, including bios, artist statements, CVs, etc.
● Attend client meetings and conference calls
● Draft meeting agendas
● Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
● Availability some evenings and weekends
● Other duties consistent with the position
REQUIREMENTS
● Knowledgeable, passionate and support of social change and the Black Lives Matter movement
● Proactive and have a strong attention to detail.
● Active consumer of media and have a strong grasp on the media landscape across a range of topics and issues.
● Time management and planning skills
● Fluent communication in person, on the phone, and in email
● Communication and negotiation skills
● Ability to build rapport
● Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role
● Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge ● Goal-oriented, organized team player

● Proficiency in MS Office

● You hold a college degree in any subject, preferably in the arts, humanities, journalism, or media studies
● You have at least 3-5 years of experience (including internships), working in communications, public relations, or in an editorial position
